Social Media Marketing in 2015



            Social media has become one of the biggest ways marketers use to sell their products. Marketers can now get their businesses out there to the consumer by advertising through social media. Social media outlets such as Instagram and YouTube have become one of the best ways to advertise and sell products. Producers and advertisers who want to sell to their products usually send them to people that have a high number of follower count on Instagram or a high number of subscriber count on YouTube, to review their product and if they like it they can post it on their page, telling their followers how much they love the product and also encourage them to purchase it. This works really well, because most people like to follow you or subscribe to you because they like you or your personality. 

For example, the company FashionNova.com, which is an online shopping boutique for women has a gained a lot of customers, including me, and has also become really popular on Instagram and YouTube by marketing their clothing items through the Instagram and Youtube famous people or people who have a high number of followers, such as models who would like their clothes. The company sends them a couple of items from their online boutique or even lets them to pick out what they would like. The "Instagram" or "Youtuber" would then market the items by trying them on and taking pictures or making a video on how they would style the items they received including comments on how much they like and enjoy the clothes and that would recommend them to people.

So, this way,  if you introduce something to them and tell them that you like it, they will probably want to try it too. Advertisers sell a lot of their products through this stream and then compensate the people that help them promote their business and helps them to get higher sales. They are compensated by getting free items from these produces and also with money depending on how much they sell. This is growing to be one of the biggest ways marketers and producers could sell and promote their businesses.
